Gavin Cox

Lowcountry Sports Network

Co-Owner of Tennisclub of the Low Country at Rose Hill


Gavin owns and operates Lowcountry Sports Network, a tennis management company in the Bluffton, Beaufort, and Hilton Head Island area.  LSN currently manages the tennis teaching operation in Colleton River, Belfair, Berkeley Hall, Hampton Hall, Habersham, and Hampton Lake with a qualified team of teaching professionals.  His company also handles the daily maintenance of 31 clay courts in the area.


Prior to his current position, Gavin spent 21 years with Van der Meer Tennis as Operations Manager.  During his tenure, he opened the award winning tennis complex at Lake of the Ozarks, MO and spent three years developing the tennis programs. 


Born and raised in Africa, he spent his earlier years playing competitively and represented Zimbabwe as a top junior prior to National Service.  He later moved to South Africa and opened his own teaching academy.  Gavin is a PTR Professional and is a USTA Recreational Coach Workshop Trainer. 


Gavin and his wife Jill, have been in the area since 1982.  Their daughter Kristin is now married and living in London, KY and daughter Terri is living on Hilton Head working towards her teaching degree.


Mike O'Regan

Mike joined the Lowcountry Sports Network team last October and has had 20 years of teaching experience.  Mike graduated from the College of Wooster in 1994 with a degree in History and played tennis for a nationally ranked NCAA program.  Mike has lived on Hilton Head Island for the past 10 years and is originally from Ridgewood, New Jersey.  Mike and his wife Libby have a daughter, Molly, and a baby on the way.


Tim Keller, Head Professional   



Tennis has been a passion for Tim as a competitive player and coach since he was introduced to the game at 8 years old. After traveling around the country playing the national junior circuit he earned a tennis scholarship to NCAA Division I College Miami of Ohio.

Tim is certified as a U.S.P.T.A. Professional and USTA Sports Science Level 1. As a coach he has worked in a variety of tennis settings with players of all abilities and ages. In Columbus and Toledo, Ohio he served as a coach in Elite Jr. development programs. He also coached the University of Toledo Women’s’ Division I team while completing his Master’s degree in Exercise Science with a specialization in kinesiology. In 2006 he moved out East and spent a season at the Quogue Field Club in Long Island.   He also taught two years in Greenwich, Connecticut at the Ivan Lendl Grand Slam Tennis Center.  For the last 3 years he has been teaching at Courtsense in Tenafly which is a U.S.T.A. Regional Training Center. Most recently he conducted Nike Tennis camps in Huntsville Alabama.

Tim also specializes in video analysis which assists players with proper bio-mechanics which leads to more efficient strokes and injury prevention.
